Hi, my name is Liz Patton, MS, CCC-SLP and I am SO excited by the prospect of being your new online speech therapist!! I have been practicing Speech Therapy for over 12 years in a variety of pediatric and adult medical settings. I am licensed by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, the State of North Carolina, and the State of Florida in Speech-Language Pathology. I am also a Council Member at the Cabarrus Partnership and have been a guest speaker for the Brain Injury Association in North Carolina.

My diverse experience in medical settings range from pediatric and adult trauma, neonatal intensive care unit, acute rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, private practice, online services, and volunteering at a craniofacial clinic. Each setting has given me a strong understanding of how the rehabilitation pieces fit together to improve a child or adult’s quality of life.

I appreciate that family stress and fear are real, and I am energized by the coaching model of therapy. The model empowers patients and family members to learn “how to think like a speech therapist” while being provided resources and strong home programs for improved quality of life!

On a personal side, I am proud to share my husband retired from the Air Force after 28 years in the military! We enjoy hiking with our daughter, swimming laps, and harvesting our garden. My secret love is playing my clarinet in local community bands.
